Sacrament of Matrimony
At least one of the engaged parties must be a registered, active member of the parish for a minimum of one year prior to setting a wedding date. Arrangements for the reception of the Sacrament of Matrimony must begin a minimum of six months in advance of the desired date. It is the stated policy of the Diocese of Rockford that those to be married must be at least 19 years of age and attend an instrumental program, including the FOCCUS Inventory, an Engaged Encounter Weekend and a Christian Family Planning Seminar.
