Liturgical Roles

Altar Servers
Boys and girls, grades 4-12, who serve at Sunday and weekday Masses, weddings, funerals and other liturgical functions.  New servers are trained at various times during the year.

Arts & Environment
A committee to enhance the liturgy through arts and environment, especially for special seasons and holy days.

Lectors
Read the Scriptures and/or the intercessory prayers at weekend Masses.
Liturgy Committee
Under the direction of the pastor, helps foster the liturgical life of the parish through the Mass and other rites of the Church.

Ministers of Communion
Assist the celebrant in administering Holy Communion to the faithful.  You must be confirmed, practicing Catholic and attend a training session.  Ministers also act as greeters at weekend Masses to extend a warm welcome in the name of all our parishioners.

Presenters of Gifts/Offertory Presenters
Present the celebrant with the cruets and hosts.  Presenters are usually family members from whom the Mass is being offered, but we do need volunteer families to assist at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter liturgies.

Temple Treasures
Offer their time and talent to keep the House of God clean and in order.  They usually serve once a month to help keep our church building beautiful for all our services.

Ushers
Adults, college or high school students who assist participants at Sunday and holy day Masses.  Volunteers select the Mass of their choice.
